SGL Group (SGLFF.PK) announced a price increase for their Graphite Electrode business of 9% over currently contracted prices. The new prices are in effect immediately for all new orders and only valid for shipments made until June 30, 2013. SGL Group said the price increase is to reflect the impact of increasing energy and raw material costs and the ongoing efforts to recover former cost increases which could not be offset with previous price measures.
