"Homeland and "Modern Family" were amongst the big winners Sunday, September 23 at the 64th primetime Emmy Award show. "Homeland" won awards for Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Actor and Actress for leads Damian Lewis and Claire Danes.

"Modern Family" grabbed awards for Directing Comedy Series, Supporting Actor Comedy Series, and Comedy Series. Jon Stewart also had a successful night grabbing his 10th consecutive Emmy for "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart."

"We were told we get a free sandwich after 10," Stewart joked, before speaking about his fellow nominees.

Also, a tribute was played by actor/director Ron Howard that gave a special tribute to his former "Andy Griffith Show" co-star Andy Griffith, who passed away in July.
