SMA Solar Technology AG's (SMTGF.PK) Managing Board has confirmed the sales and earnings forecast for 2012, still forecasting an operating profit or EBIT of 100 million euros - 150 million euros, representing an EBIT margin of 8 - 10 percent, on sales of 1.3 billion euros - 1.5 billion euros.
SMA Speaker of the Managing Board and Chief Financial Officer, Pierre-Pascal Urbon, noted: 'The distinct changes in subsidy conditions in important European photovoltaic markets were already having an impact on demand for our inverters in the third quarter.'
Looking forward to the third quarter of 2012, the Managing Board sees sales between 330 million euros and 360 million euros with an EBIT of 20 million euros - 35 million euros, representing an EBIT margin of 6 - 10 percent.
