Pacific Gas and Electric Company or PG&E, a subsidiary of PG&E Corporation (PCG), announced the appointment of Greg Kiraly as Senior Vice President of Electric Distribution Operations.
Kiraly, who has served as Vice President of Electric Distribution Operations, will lead a team of 4,200 employees that design, build, maintain and operate the company's electric distribution system. He will continue to report directly to Executive Vice President of Electric Operations Geisha Williams.
Since joining PG&E in 2008, Kiraly has been a major force in the company's efforts to improve electric distribution reliability.
Kiraly first joined PG&E as Vice President of Electric Maintenance and Construction in what was then the utility's energy delivery organization. In 2010, Kiraly took on a special assignment to oversee the day-to-day operations of the SmartMeter Operations team.
Before joining PG&E in 2008, Kiraly served as Vice President, Distribution System Operations, Energy Delivery at Commonwealth Edison in Chicago. Kiraly also spent 15 years with Public Service Electric and Gas Company in Newark, New Jersey, where he held a variety of positions in gas and electric distribution.
