At 8:30 am ET Friday, Canada GDP data for July is slated for release. Ahead of the data, the loonie showed mixed trading against other major currencies. While the loonie gained against the aussie, it was down against the rest of major currencies.
At 8:25 am ET, the loonie traded at 1.2690 against the euro, 1.0233 against the aussie, 79.19 against the yen and 0.9808 against the greenback.
