Domino's Pizza, Inc. (DPZ: Quote) posted third-quarter net income of $25.98 million or $0.44 per share, up from $22.09 million or $0.36 per share reported a year ago. On an adjusted basis, earnings per share was $0.43.
On average, 13 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.41 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Total revenues for the three-month period climbed to $378.08 million from $376.33 million in the the prior-year quarter. Analysts anticipated revenues of $374.60 million for the quarter.
Further, the company said during the quarter, it repurchased and retired 189,718 shares of its common stock, at a total cost of $5.9 million.
