MindTree To Pay 30% Interim Dividend

MindTree Ltd. said its board recommended an interim dividend of 30 percent or Rs.3.00 per equity share of Rs.10 each for the fiscal year 2013. It fixed October 29, 2012, as the Record Date for the purpose of payment of the said interim dividend and the dividend will be paid on November 5.

The company reported second-quarter net profit of Rs.72.20 crore, up by 33 percent from the Rs.54.30 crore for the quarter ended September 30 last year.

Net income income rose by 31 percent to Rs.596.30 crore from the Rs.456.70 crore in the corresponding quarter of the preceding year, while other income stood at Rs.7.40, compared with Rs.7.00 crore in the year-ago quarter.

For the six months, its net profit grew by 81 percent to Rs.161.20 crore from the Rs.88.90 crore in the corresponding period in the preceding year. Total income, including other income, was Rs.1,171.90 crore, higher by 33 percent than the Rs.879.90 crore for the comparable period last year.

At the NSE, MindTree closed Tuesday's at Rs.682.00, up by 0.06 percent from the previous close.
