During North American mid-day trading on Wednesday, the Canadian currency advanced further against major opponents. As of now, the loonie is trading near a 2-day high of 0.9792 versus the US dollar, compared to 0.9868 hit late New York Tuesday.
Against the euro and the Japanese yen, the Canadian unit also edged up further in mid-morning deals. The loonie is currently trading near 1.2855 against the euro and 80.51 versus the yen from yesterday's closing values of 1.2883 and 79.99, respectively.
