Horizon Bancorp (HBNC) Wednesday reported a third-quarter profit of $4.9 million, up from $3.4 million in the same period last year.
Net income available to common shareholders totaled $4.8 million or $0.54 per share, compared to $2.7 million or $0.36 per share last year.
On average, five analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.77 per share for the quarter.
Net-interest income increased to $15 million from $12 million last year. Other income totaled $7.7 million, up from $6.5 million last year.
Provision for loan losses were $1.0 million, compared to $1.6 million last year.
