Engineering services provider Exponent Inc. (EXPO: Quote) again raised revenue guidance for fiscal 2012, now expecting growth in revenue before reimbursements to be in the high single digits. Analysts are looking for 6.6% revenue growth. In the year-ago period, the company reported revenues of $246.7 million.

Q4 Net income rose 76% to $600,000 or $0.21 per share vs. year-ago $340,000 or $0.12 per share

Q4 Net revenues rose 38% to $9.97 million from $7.22 million last year.

Interior design company Ethan Allen Interiors Inc. (ETH: Quote) posted higher profit, revenues and better margins for the September quarter.

Quarterly Net income rose to $10.1 million or $0.35 per share from year-ago $6.8 million or $0.23 per share.

Adjusted earnings rose to $11.1 million or $0.38 per share from $7.2 million or $0.25 per share last year. Consensus $0.29.

Revenues rose to $187.4 million from $184.9 million last year. Consensus $190.87 million.

Gross margin was 55.6 percent, compared to 52.9 percent last year.

Operating margin rose to 9.6% from 7.4% last year. Excluding items, operating margin rose to 10.4% from 7.4%.

All-terrain vehicles maker Polaris Industries (PII: Quote) raised its full-year forecast for the third time, now expecting FY12 EPS of $4.32 to $4.37 per share, higher than its July forecast of $4.05 to $4.15. Consensus $4.18.

The company expects full-year revenue to rise 19-20% (higher than its July forecast for 14% to 17% growth) Consensus calls for 17.7% revenue growth.

Post-tax catastrophe losses in the current quarter were $59 million vs. $394 million last year.
