Spartech (SEH) is surging over 58 percent to $8.15. PolyOne Corp. (POL) has agreed to acquire the company for $8.00 per share in cash and stock, representing a total transaction value of approximately $393 million, including net debt. POL is up 8 percent to $18.25.
SAP AG (SAP) is up more than 3 percent to $72.00. The company's third quarter profit declined 51 percent from the year-ago period. However, revenues improved 16 percent. The company also lifted its full-year revenue outlook for software and software-related service to include the contribution from recently acquired Ariba Inc.

Revenue in the U.S. decreased 9 percent, due primarily to the loss of patent exclusivity for Zyprexa.
Bristol Myers Squibb Co. (BMY) is down over 2 percent to $32.50. The company slipped to a loss in its third quarter and its non-GAAP earnings missed Wall Street view by a penny. Net sales for the quarter plunged from the year-ago quarter and missed the consensus estimate. The company faced challenges in the third quarter, including the discontinuation of BMS-986094 for the treatment of hepatitis C.
Lorillard Inc. (LO) is down 5 percent to $110.10. The company's third quarter profit improved from the year-ago quarter, but was below Wall Street view. Net sales increased 2.4 percent, primarily due to higher average cigarette selling prices. Total Lorillard wholesale cigarette unit volume decreased 2.1 percent.

The company also said it may report a loss for its fourth quarter because of its initial launch investment in the Nordics. The company noted that it is not growing membership as fast as in 2010.
