Westfield Financial, Inc. (WFD), the holding company for Westfield Bank , on Monday reported third quarter net income of $1.39 million or $0.06 per share, compared to $1.50 million or $0.06 per share last year.
Total interest and dividend income for the quarter was $10.8 million, compared to $11.2 million a year ago.
Total non-interest income for the quarter was $1.18 million compared to $943,000 a year ago.
Four analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings of $0.06 per share. Three analysts expected interest and dividend income of $7.90 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
The provision for loan losses for the third quarter was $218,000 compared to last year's provision of $15,000.
Street currently estimates earnings of $0.06 per share, and interest and dividend income of $7.96 million for the fourth quarter.
Shares of Westfield Financial last traded at $7.00 down 15 cents or 2.10 % on the Nasdaq.
