Although the Barclays Center was unharmed by Hurricane Sandy, the Smashing Pumpkins decided to cancel their performance at the new arena, scheduled for Wednesday, October 31.

"The Smashing Pumpkins concert tomorrow night at Barclays Center has been postponed due to the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy," reads the Barclays Center site. "Ticket holders should keep their tickets for an upcoming rescheduled date. We will announce more information soon."

Representatives of the Barclays Center told Patch that the arena had zero damage during the storm, that the outdoor LED screen is perfectly intact, and that all vendors are expected to be operating properly.
