Dorman Products Inc. (DORM) reported that its third-quarter net income was $20.34 million or $0.56 per share, compared to $11.50 million or $0.32 per share in the same quarter last year.
Net income from continuing operations was $19.8 million, or $0.54 per share, up from the prior year's net income from continuing operations of $15.0 million, or $0.41 per share.
Revenues from continuing operations for the third quarter rose 20% over the prior year to $156.4 million from $130.6 million. Revenue growth was driven primarily by strong overall demand for our products, higher revenues from recently-introduced products and the shipment of several large line updates.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.48 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
