Indian software services provider Wipro Ltd (WIT) reported second quarter net income attributable to the equity holders of the company of $304 million, representing an increase of 24% over the same period last year. Earnings per equity share for the quarter were $0.12.
Non-GAAP Adjusted Net Income for the quarter was $302 million, representing an increase of 22% over the same period last year. Wipro reports results on the basis of International Financial Reporting Standards.
Total Revenue for the quarter was $2.01 billion, representing an increase of 17% over the same period last year. IT Services Revenues for the quarter were $1.541 billion. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.12 per share for the quarter on $1.91 billion revenues. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Looking ahead, the company expects third quarter revenues from IT Services business to be in the range of $1.560 billion to $1.590 billion.
