Molycorp Inc. (MCP) spiked sharply to the downside around mid-morning Friday, after the company disclosed that it is under investigation by the SEC over the accuracy of its disclosures.
Molycorp ended the session lower by 1.18 at $7.50, with volume at nearly a 3-month low. The stock has been declining for the past 2 1/2 weeks and closed Friday at a new low for the year.
