Laclede Group, Inc. (LG) Monday reported a narrower loss for the fourth quarter, helped mainly by lower expenses.
Net loss for the quarter widened to $0.7 million or $0.03 per share from $2.9 million or $0.13 per share in the same period last year.
Net economic earnings were $0.4 million or $0.02 per share. Three analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $0.16 per share for the quarter.
Operating revenues dropped to $169.5 million from $271.0 million last year.
Operating expenses decreased to $167.7 million from $269.2 million last year.
