Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl has signed on to host a new satellite radio show highlighting recordings made at the famed Sound City studio in Los Angeles.

Grohl has also produced a documentary film about the studio, which played host to bands including Nirvana, Neil Young, Elton John and Fleetwood Mac.

The show will be titled Dave Grohl Presents Sound City and will air daily on satellite radio. The show begins airing this month and runs through January 24. It will showcase different eras of the studio from the 1960s through 2011.

"I'm so proud of the Sound City film and beyond excited for the world to see what I've been working on for the past year," Grohl said in a statement.

"Even before that, though, I'm grateful to SiriusXM for giving me the opportunity to share all this great music and to let people know what got me excited about Sound City in the first place."
