Public transport services provider Stagecoach Group plc (SGC.L) Monday announced that its wholly owned indirect subsidiary, Greater Manchester Buses East Limited, has completed the acquisition of Wigan bus business and assets from bus services provider First Manchester Limited.
FirstGroup had earlier announced that the sale is for a consideration of 12 million pounds. The business being acquired is an operator of commercial bus services in addition to a small number of schooling contracts and in the 12 months to March 31, had recorded an operating profit of 1.5 million pounds.
