Stagecoach Group plc (SGC.L) Wednesday reported an increase in pre-tax profit for its half-year, helped mainly by higher revenues.
Pre-tax profit jumped to 123.7 million pounds from 88.7 million pounds last year.
Net profit attributable to equity shareholders of the company totaled 90.1 million pounds or 15.4 pence per share, up from 73.2 million pounds or 10.3 pence per share last year. Adjusted earnings for the period was 96.3 million pounds or 16.5 pence per share.
Revenues improved to 1.4 billion pounds from 1.3 billion pounds last year. Group like-for-like revenues were up 5.9 percent year-over-year.
