Fiber-optic equipment maker Finisar Corp. (FNSR) is expected to report results for the second quarter. The Sunnyvale, California-based company is expected to post earnings of $0.14 per share, lower than the year-ago quarter's $0.23 per share, while revenue is expected at $231.85 million, down from $241.49 million in the prior-year quarter. FNSR closed Tuesday at $13.59. (52-wk H/L $23.50/$10.95)

Houston, Texas-based men's apparel retailer Men's Wearhouse, Inc. (MW) is scheduled to report third quarter results. Earnings for the quarter are expected to grow to $0.97 per share from last year's $0.79. Also the company is anticipated to generate revenues of $631.30 million versus $584.60 million in the prior-year quarter. The company's shares closed Tuesday's session at $32.37. (52-wk H/L $40.97/$25.97)

Defense contractor SAIC, Inc. (SAI) is slated to report third quarter results today. The McLean, Virginia-based company is expected to earn $0.34 per share compared to a loss of $0.27 per share reported a year earlier. Quarterly revenues are anticipated to rise to $2.85 billion from last year's $2.81 billion. The stock closed Tuesday at $11.51. (52-wk H/L $14.20/$10.31)

Electronic design automation company Synopsys Inc. (SNPS) is due to report its fourth quarter results today. The company is expected to earn $0.47per share on revenues of $445.63 million, while in the year-ago quarter, earnings and revenue were $0.45 per share and $390.53 million respectively. Shares of SNPS closed Tuesday's trade at $33.23. (52-wk H/L $34.20/$26.33)
