Layne Christensen's (LAYN) third-quarter net income from continuing operations rose 1.3% to $8.82 million, from $8.71 million last year, while the corresponding per share earnings remained flat at $0.45. On the other hand, quarterly net income, including discontinued operations, was $8.5 million, or $0.43 per share, versus $8.8 million, or $0.45 per share, in the prior year's third quarter.
Revenues for the quarter decreased 2.4% to $282.88 million, from $289.81 million a year earlier.
