Serbia's Inflation Slows In November

Serbia's annual inflation weakened in November after rising in the previous month, data released by the statistical office showed Wednesday.

The consumer price index increased 11.9 percent on an annual basis in November, slower than the 12.9 percent gain seen in October. In September, the inflation rate was 10.3 percent.

Food prices climbed 15.1 percent year-on-year during the month, while clothing and footwear prices advanced 4.2 percent. Housing costs and utility prices were higher by 6.4 percent compared to last year, and transportation costs by 12.2 percent.

On a monthly basis, consumer prices remained unchanged in November, after rising 2.8 percent in October, data showed.
