LA Reid Leaving 'X Factor'

LA Reid will not return as a celebrity judge on the "X-Factor" next season. The Epic Records chairman will return to his full-time gig as head of Epic Records.

In an interview with "Access," Reid said "I have decided that I will not return to The X Factor next year . . . I have to go back and I have a company to run that I've kind of neglected and it saddens me a little bit, but only a little bit."

Reid indicated that he has no hard feelings with anyone involved with the show including head honcho, Simon Cowell. "It was a nice break, it was a nice departure from what I've done for the past 20 years, but now I gotta get back to work."

The Epic Records chairman was the first "X Factor" judge hired by Cowell and was the only judge to survive the mass firing of judges that followed season one. Fellow panelists Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger, as well as host Steve Jones, were fired prior to season two.

No word on any potential replacements as of yet for Reid or if any other judges will be following him out the door.
