NBC has added three episodes to its initial order of 13 episodes for the second season of "Whitney." According to Deadline, the order comes after the fifth episode of the first season drew in 1.4 million in the 18-49 demographic, up 8% from its previous episode and 27% from the episode before that.
The program features lead character, Whitney Cummings, a photographer whose relationship with live in boyfriend, Alex Miller (Chris D'Elia), has lost some of its luster.
Rhea Seehorn stars as Roxanne Harris, an over-the-top divorcee and Whitney's friend who later becomes her boss, while Tone Bell, starring as RJ, the bartender at Whitney and Alex's new local spot, has been added for the second season.
"Whitney" airs Wednesdays at 8 PM EST on NBC.
