North West Company Inc. (NWC.TO: Quote) on Friday reported a marginal rise in third-quarter net earnings to $17.5 million from last year's earnings of $17.0 million. On a per share basis, earnings rose by a penny to $0.36 from $0.35 in the same quarter last year.
Meanwhile, sales declined slightly to $377.7 million from $378.4 million in the third quarter last year.
Further, the company said that its board has declared a dividend of $0.26 per share to shareholders of record on December 31, 2012, payable on January 15, 2013.
