Rumors have arisen that Nokia is prepping the release of a 10 inch tablet for release in February. According to a report from Digitimes, the Finnish company is in talks with Microsoft, Qualcomm and Compal Electronics to develop the Windows RT running device.

While Microsoft would handle operating system duties, Qualcomm would supply the S4 processors and Compal the ODM production, bringing 200,000 of the test units to market.

The unveiling date, according to Slash Gear, would be at the Mobile World Congress in late February 2013. Last year, Nokia stole the show, with the surprise announcement of the 808 PureView phone.

Nokia execs have hinted at tablet plans in the past, with Nokia design head Marko Ahtisaari claiming to have spent a third of his time on a new tablet, and former Nokia Chairman Jorma Ollila claiming that the firm planned to release a range of tablets and smart devices.
