Accenture plc (ACN: Quote) reported first quarter net income of $1.06 per share after the close Wednesday, up from $0.96 per share in the previous year. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $1.04. The company also raised its earnings outlook for fiscal 2013 to between $4.24 and $4.32, from its previously guided range of $4.22 to $4.30. The consensus estimate is for EPS of $4.27. The stock is now down 2.85 on 172K shares.
Accenture declined during the final 2 hours of trade Wednesday and closed down by 0.72 at $70.40. The stock pulled back from resistance at the highs of the year.
