Ecology & Environment, Inc. (EEI), a New York-based environmental consulting firm, reported a slump in the first-quarter net income to $0.2 million or $0.06 per share, from $1.16 million or $0.28 per share in the year-ago quarter.
Revenues for the first quarter declined to $36.8 million from $42.3 million last year. Revenue less subcontract costs was $29.8 million for the quarter compared with $33.2 million in the prior year.
