ChinaEdu Corp. (CEDU: Quote) reported third-quarter net income attributable to the company of $0.5 million compared to $0.9 million in the same period last year.
Net income attributable to the company per ADS was $0.030 for the third quarter of 2012, compared to $0.057 for the corresponding period in 2011.
Adjusted net income attributable to the company was $1.9 million in the third quarter of 2012 compared to $1.4 million in the corresponding period of 2011.
Adjusted net income attributable to the company per ADS was $0.115, for the third quarter of 2012, compared to $0.083 last year.
Total net revenue for the third quarter of 2012 was $19.7 million, a 8.7 percent increase from $18.1 million in the comparable quarter last year.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.11 per share on revenues of $19.07 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
ChinaEdu expects total net revenue in the fourth quarter of 2012 to range from RMB124 million to RMB129 million or $19.7 million to $20.5 million, representing a three percent to seven percent increase compared to the corresponding period in 2011.
Analysts expect the company to report revenues of $19.90 million for the fourth-quarter.
