The Man, a fictional musical inspired by the rise to stardom of pop stars Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston and Elvis, is currently in production, with a tentative date of fall 2013 for its opening in Las Vegas.
"We want this project to be a compelling, gritty, entertaining tale, that tells the story of the price of fame in a new way," said Mark Lamica, one of the producers and a partner of the late Frank Dileo, Jacko's former manager.
In addition to Lamica, four other Jackson managerial personnel—Quincy Krashna, Jerry Greenberg, Raymond Del Barrio and Larry Hart—are also listed as producers.
Lamica added that the production will be an "epic, music driven dramatic work," and "a fictional template and story that, with some variation, fits a number of global celebrities."
