Hollywood couple Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield have adopted a two-year-old golden retriever from an L.A. animal rescue. The couple originally brought the dog home as a foster care, but then decided to officially adopt it on Christmas Eve. The golden retriever has been named Ren and was rescued from the high-kill Downey, Calif., shelter.
"She was one of the dogs they first saw, but they weren't sure," a source tells People. "They left and they couldn't stop thinking about her, so they came back for her. And it's true love."
"She won the doggie lottery," adds the source, who describes the already house-trained pup as "a typical golden puppy. Very, very sweet and loving. They totally fell in love with her."
Ren will be living with the couple at the couple's recently purchased Beverly Hills home, which they reportedly purchased last month for $2.5 million.
