Canadian National Railway Co. (CNI,CNR.TO) announced Friday that it has reached a tentative agreement with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers or IBEW System Council 11 to renew the labour contract for approximately 700 CN signals and communications employees in Canada.
Details of the agreement - negotiated prior to the expiry of the current contract on December 31, 2012 -- are being withheld pending ratification by the union's membership.
The company expects to hear the results of the union's ratification vote before the end of January 2013.
