Russian gas pipeline systems operator Oao Gazprom's (OGZPF.PK,OGZPY.PK,GAZP) nine-month pre-tax profit decreased to 1.04 trillion Russian rubles, from the year-ago period's 1.17 trillion Russian rubles, with profit attributable to shareholders of OJSC "Gazprom" also dropping to 813.72 billion Russian rubles, from 923.65 billion Russian rubles last year.
However, for the nine months of 2012, revenues from sales, net of VAT, excise and customs duties, totaled 3.35 trillion Russian rubles, up 2% from 3.30 trillion Russian rubles in the 2011 period.
Net sales of gas for the period amounted to 1.83 trillion Russian rubles, down by 8% year-over-year.
