Wipro Q3 Profit Rises - Quick Facts

Indian software services provider Wipro Ltd (WIT) reported third quarter net income attributable to the equity holders of the company of $313 million, representing an increase of 18% year over year. Earnings per equity share for the quarter were $0.13.

Non-GAAP Adjusted Net Income for the quarter was $312 million, representing an increase of 17% year over year. Wipro reports results on the basis of International Financial Reporting Standards.

Total Revenue for the quarter was $2.01 billion, up 10% over the same period last year. IT Services Revenues for the quarter were $1.577 billion, representing a sequential increase of 2.4% and Year over year increase of 4.8%.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.13 per share for the quarter on $2.01 billion revenues. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Wipro declared an interim dividend of $0.041 per share /ADS.

Looking ahead, the company expects fourth quarter revenues from IT Services business to be in the range of $1.585 billion to $1.625 billion.
