Hungary's Nov Gross Wage Growth Accelerates Unexpectedly

Hungary's average gross wages grew 5.4 percent in November from a year ago, marking the fastest growth since July, the Hungarian Central Statistical Office said Friday.

The annual growth in gross wages was forecast to slow to 4 percent from 4.6 percent increase logged in October.

At the same time, average gross earnings grew 4.6 percent at corporations employing at least five persons during January to November period. Net earnings excluding family tax benefits climbed 2 percent.
