PetMed Express Q3 Profit Beats Estimates

PetMed Express Inc. (PETS) posted third-quarter net income of $4.6 million, or $0.23 per share, compared to $3.9 million, or $0.19 per share in the comparable quarter last year. On average, seven analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit of $0.18 per share. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Net sales for the latest third quarter quarter were $49.61 million, compared with $50.52 million in the year-ago quarter, while five analysts had a consensus revenue estimate of $49.97 million for the quarter.

Cable company Altice USA Inc. increased Wednesday the number of shares it will sell in its initial public offering by 37%, raising around $1.9 billion. In the IPO, the company offered 63.94 million shares at a price of $30 per share, higher than the 46.6 million shares announced last month.
