Oshkosh Corp. (OSK) Broke Out To A New High On Better Than Expected Q1 Results

Oshkosh Corp. (OSK) reported first quarter adjusted earnings from continuing operations of $0.60 per share Friday morning, up from $0.39 per share a year ago. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.32. Full year 2013 adjusted EPS is expected to be between $2.80 and $3.05, compared to the consensus estimate of $2.63.

Oshkosh gapped open sharply higher Friday and advanced further around the middle of the afternoon. The stock closed up by 6.50 at $41.08, with volume at over a 3-month high. Oshkosh has been gaining ground for nearly a month and set a new high for the year.
