Net Interest Income increased to $149.99 million from $114.84 million in the comparable quarter last year, while total non-interest income increased to $125.16 million from $60.96 million in the prior year period.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit of $0.33 per share on revenue of $261.39 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Further, the company's Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.02 per common share, payable on February 22, 2013, to stockholders of record as of February 11, 2013.
