Cavium Inc. (CAVM) Thursday reported a wider sequential loss for the fourth quarter. For the fourth-quarter, net loss attributable to the company was $78.8 million or $1.56 per share, wider than $8.1 million or $0.16 per share in the third quarter of 2012.
Adjusted income for the quarter was $10.6 million or $0.20 per share, compared with $7.8 million or $0.15 per share in the third quarter of 2012.
On average, 20 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.17 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Total revenues for the quarter grew to $66.37 million from $61.08 million in the third quarter. Twenty two analysts had a consensus revenue estimate of $66.09 million for the fourth quarter.
