Mercury General Corp. (MCY) Dropped To A 5-Month Low After Q4 Loss

Mercury General Corp. (MCY) reported a fourth quarter operating loss of $0.17 per share Monday morning, down from the profit of $0.59 per share last year. The consensus estimate was for a profit of $0.25.

Mercury General declined for the majority of the morning Monday and closed lower by 2.46 at $37.88 on above average volume. The stock dropped below a one-month range and set a 5-month low.
