Computer Sciences Corp. (CSC) reported third quarter adjusted EPS of $0.64 Tuesday morning, down from $0.78 in the prior year period. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.58. The company also increased its full year 2013 EPS forecast to between $2.50 and $2.70, from prior expectations of $2.30 to $2.50. The consensus estimate is for EPS of $2.37.
Computer Sciences gapped up Tuesday and rose steadily until around mid-morning, before settling into a range. Shares finished up by 3.84 at $45.75, with volume at a 3-month high. The stock surged past the upper end of a 2-week range and set a new high for the year.
