Mountain View, California-based LinkedIn Corp. (LNKD) is due to report its fourth quarter results after the close of trading. The professional networking giant is expected to report a profit of $0.19 per share versus $0.12 per share last year, with revenues estimated at $279.50 million. Networking solutions company Riverbed Technology, Inc. (RVBD) will report its fourth quarter results today. The San Francisco, California-based company is expected to report earnings of $0.29 per share on revenues of $234.77 million. A year earlier, earnings and revenue were $0.25 per share and $204.02 million respectively. The stock closed Wednesday's regular trading at $20.31. (52-wk H/L $29.59/$13.30)

Google is planning to significantly expand a carpool service on its navigational app Waze, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal. The move indicates the company is edging closer to a potential clash with ride-hailing service Uber Technologies Inc. Private equity firm Sycamore Partners has won the bankruptcy auction for the e-commerce business and intellectual property of U.S. women's apparel retailer The Limited with a bid of $26.8 million, Reuters reported, citing people familiar with the matter.
