Level 3 Communications gapped open sharply lower Tuesday and fell in early trade, before settling into a range. Shares closed down by 3.35 at $21.31 on the highest volume of the year. The stock fell to nearly a 2-month low and dropped below both its 50 and 200-day moving averages.
