General Motors Co. (GM) will post its fourth quarter results today. Quarterly earnings are expected to rise to $0.51 per share from $0.39 per share reported a year ago. Media company CBS Corp. (CBS) is slated to report results for the fourth quarter. The New York-based company is expected to report a profit of $0.69 per share versus $0.57 per share last year. Brocade Communications Systems, Inc. (BRCD), maker of switches and software for data-storage networks, is due to report first quarter results after the close of trading. The earnings of the San Jose, California-based company is expected to decline to $0.16 per share from $0.20 per share in the prior year quarter. Besides, quarterly revenues are anticipated to be $575.62 million, higher than $560.64 million recorded a year ago. The shares closed Wednesday's session at $5.76. (52-wk H/L $6.44/$4.18)

Agilent Technologies Inc. (A), Goldcorp Inc. (GG), Weingarten Realty Investors (WRI), Alpha Natural Resources, Inc. (ANR), Apache Corp. (APA), Barrick Gold Corporation (ABX), BorgWarner Inc.
