Media company CBS Corp. (CBS: Quote) is slated to report results for the fourth quarter. The New York-based company is expected to report a profit of $0.69 per share versus $0.57 per share last year. Revenues are estimated at $3.79 billion, a marginal increase from the prior year's $3.78 billion. Shares of CBS closed Wednesday trade at $42.67. (52-wk H/L $43.47/$28.22)

Satellite television company DirecTV, Inc. (DTV: Quote) is expected to report results for the fourth quarter. The company is expected to earn $1.13 per share on revenues of $8.03 billion. In the prior-year quarter, the company reported earnings of $1.02 per share on revenues of $7.46 billion. The shares closed Wednesday at $51.67. (52-wk H/L $55.17/$42.87)

Brocade Communications Systems, Inc. (BRCD: Quote), maker of switches and software for data-storage networks, is due to report first quarter results after the close of trading. The earnings of the San Jose, California-based company is expected to decline to $0.16 per share from $0.20 per share in the prior year quarter. Besides, quarterly revenues are anticipated to be $575.62 million, higher than $560.64 million recorded a year ago. The shares closed Wednesday's session at $5.76. (52-wk H/L $6.44/$4.18)

Agilent Technologies Inc. (A: Quote), Goldcorp Inc. (GG: Quote), Weingarten Realty Investors (WRI: Quote), Alpha Natural Resources, Inc. (ANR: Quote), Apache Corp. (APA), Barrick Gold Corporation (ABX), BorgWarner Inc.
