Lynyrd Skynyrd canceled a show at Hard Rock Biloxi, following an illness suffered by guitarist Gary Rossington. According to the Sun Herald, the axeman was hospitalized at St. John's Hospital in Jackson, Wyoming, following an abdominal infection.
"We are awaiting further tests and treatment, once we receive information on Gary's status we will release additional information. Thank you for your understanding and support," added the statement from the band.
The next scheduled stop on the band's tour is February 23, at the Coushatta Casino Resort Pavilion in Kinder, Louisiana. The Southern rockers have made no announcement regarding that date yet.
"Hard Rock Biloxi sends our thoughts and well wishes to Mr. Rossington and his family during this time," wrote a rep from the Mississippi casino to the band.
