Rob Morrison, an anchor with CBS 2 local news in New York City, has been accused domestic violence. Morrison allegedly choked his wife, CBS MoneyWatch anchor Ashley Morrison.
Morrison was arrested over the weekend at the couple's home in Connecticut after his wife's mother called 911, according to various media reports. He has since issued a statement denying claims that he attempted to choke his wife:
"I love my wife more than anything," said the 44-year-old. "The last 10 years, she's been the most important person in my life and she's helped me through some difficult times."
"I did not choke my wife," he added. "I've never laid hands on my wife. I was just as surprised by that particular charge as probably everyone else was hearing about this story."
The former Marine has reportedly been cited in six domestic incidents between 2003 and 2009.
