Technip (TKPPY.PK,TNHPF.PK) Wednesday said it has been awarded a five-year contract by BP Angola, for providing engineering and modification services to the floating production storage and offloading units in Angola's offshore.
This contract follows the successful completion of a previous five-year contract for engineering services for the Greater Plutonio FPSO. The new award aldo calls for procurement and management of offshore and onshore construction activities.
The contract will be carried out by Technip's operating center in Luanda, and is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2017.
"We are pleased to be awarded this new project by our long-term client, as it will open up many additional opportunities in the Angolan marketplace, " said Benoit Verdier, General Manager of Technip in Angola.
