The Kellogg Company has announced that it has issued a recall of several variations of its Special K Red Berries brand cereal, due to the possible presence of glass fragments. So far, there have been no reports of any injuries associated with this product.
The recall affects the 11.2 ounce packages (UPC Code 38000 59923), 22.4 ounce packages (UPC Code 38000 78356) and 37 ounce (38000 20940) packages. Any other sizes are not subject to the recall.
"Please check any packages you have in your home. If your package matches the information below, do not eat the food and contact us for a replacement coupon. We may also make arrangements to retrieve the food for further evaluation," wrote the company on its website.
In October, the company recalled nearly 3 million boxes of its bite-size Frosted and Unfrosted Mini-Wheats cereal because of the possible presence of metal fragments from a faulty manufacturing part.
