First Lady Michelle Obama is celebrating the third-anniversary of the Let's Move! campaign by partnering up with Big Bird to release two new public service announcements targeting the healthy eating habits of children.
The Washington Times reports that the announcements were released to help start off a two-day nationwide tour next week celebrating the anniversary of the anti-obesity campaign. The spots were filmed in the White House and are aimed to encourage kids to get off the couch and reach for healthy snacks.
One of the public service announcements shows Big Bird and Mrs. Obama hanging out in the White House Kitchen where he decides to eat a healthy snack. The other spot shows Big Bird exercising and dancing.
The Let's Move! Campaign started in February of 2010 as an attempt by the first lady to unite the country around our kids' health and create real support for families to live healthier lives.
